About

As a lover of cooking, farmer’s markets and the earth at large, I have created La Aguacate to chart my adventures in the kitchen and beyond. Food rules! There is just something so gratifying about baking a pie completely from scratch, or eating a tomato still warm from the sun. Writing this blog is my way of sharing all those good feelings with others. And by the way, I studied abroad in Valencia, Spain. When Spaniards would pronounce my name as it looks, it would sound a lot like ‘aguacate,’ the word for avocado. Aguacate became my nickname, and hence the name for this food blog.

Freelance: You’ll also find my published freelance writing work within my posts. Click on “Freelance” category from the homepage for a complete listing.

PR/Marketing/Social Media Consulting: When I’m not blogging for La Aguacate, I’m auditing a company’s social media presence, providing content for business blogs and websites, pitching media, writing press releases, and lots more. Got a need? Drop me a line.

Enjoy!
